Gemini Zodiac Symbol

The Gemini zodiac symbol is the twins. This sign's constellation is located in the northern sky and resembles what people believe to be a set of twins, Pollux and Castor. In Greek mythology, the twins were sons of Queen Leda of Sparta. She was mortal but extremely beautiful, so much so that Zeus transformed himself into a swan and came down from Mount Olympus to lay with her. She also laid with her husband King Tyndareus that evening and Leda became pregnant with four children. These children included Castor and Pollux and their two sisters Helen and Clytemnestra. The girls were believed to be fathered by King Tyndareus and the boys fathered by Zeus. These boys were known to be inseparable and were given the Roman name Gemini.

The Gemini symbol is thought to represent having two sides of personality. This is where the idea that Geminis are two-faced comes from. But, what it really means is that Geminis can see all angles of an idea, so sometimes it's hard to pick sides when you can understand both.
