The Culture Behind 14 Distinct Asian Household Habits

Every culture has unique and interesting household habits that are distinct to their society. It doesn't make these customs or habits wrong, but to an outsider looking in, these might appear slightly unusual. American customs can seem quite odd to those not from this country, and when Americans encounter new cultures for the first time, they are often surprised by the interesting traditions they encounter. There are also many distinct Asian household habits that might seem unusual.

While these distinct, different habits may appear unconventional to some, they are perfectly normal in Asian cultures and cherished as part of everyday life. Many of these habits or rituals might sound familiar, like eating with chopsticks or hanging laundry outside, but others might be a bit more foreign, like putting fruit in the living room and using a squat toilet. Seeing how other cultures live is how many we learn, so perhaps you might decide to incorporate a new habit into your culture.
