While Millennials and Gen Xers have fond memories of visiting buffets during the 80s and 90s, this dining style holds a special place in the hearts of Baby Boomers, who continue to embrace its charm.

Many formerly popular American buffets, such as Old Country Buffet and HomeTown Buffet, have closed down. All-you-can-eat restaurants aren’t as popular as they used to be for numerous reasons and during the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the ones that were already struggling closed down for good.
